What's your question?

Those are all questions that need a personal response, I think. I wouldn't want to hear what you think they want to hear. I would want to hear what you think.

Bear in mind the Francis Report and the move to value based recruitment.

Is it internal or external?

If internal, can you reflect on some experiences of care you've had in the last year or so and how you showed leadership (bearing in mind that the Francis report calls for leadership to be specifically taught and encouraged throughout all bands now), how you supported colleagues?

Can you look at your Trust Values and how you will demonstrate that you have those values and will encourage them in those you supervise and support?

Identify some aspects of the role you think is done well currently, and what you'd hope to change - how you would motivate your team to improve.

That's what I'd start with.

Think about using the STAR technique - Situation, task, action and result.

You need to come up with the examples based on your experience, it may help to get a job description and tailor your answers to the essential and desirable criteria.

For Band 6 depending on the role you need to be prepared for some management type questions, supervision, maybe a scenario or two, any relevant clinical stuff to your speciality and personal development needs etc
