Does anyone have any experience of getting a prototype or product designed from an idea?

How did you go about choosing the designer? How does the process work?
How much does it cost?

I have no idea about any of this or where to start. It's an idea for a specialist type of bag if that's any help.

Take a look on Reddit. There are lots of boards there that might be able to help you, I think. It's more specialised than here. Try this.
