Hi,I have been offered a job with more money ,nearer to home and better conditions ,only one problem ,I have been in my present job for 20yrs ,I like the people I work with ,and the job is not bad either ,I do have a commute of 1 hour each way daily .My new job takes me 15 mins to get to .Question is after 20 yrs should I just stay put or take the plunge ? Any help would be appreciated ,thanks

I would take the new job. These days I think it is expected that people move around quite a bit, so staying somewhere so long won't always be viewed positively by future employers.

It sounds like there are lots of positives for the new job too - go for it!

Take the new job - congratulations.

Take it! The commute is less and that, for me, would seal the deal. More money isn't bad either Smile. You will miss the old place though (I did after leaving mine after 12 years).

On the other hand, I left 3 in nths ago, and they haven't even advertised my job. So I wasn't really needed except I was, and its all going to fall apart after the summer That's not a great feeling either.
You've done the right thing. All the best.

Good luck in your new job Smile.

good luck, it's hard to move after so long but it sounds like you've made the right decision
