Is it possible to work from home as a lawyer?

I am so tired that I am not sure I particularly want to be doing big projects which mean I never see DC. Genuinely, this sounds awful but I would be really happy if I could keep things ticking over for a few years doing lease renewals and a bit of maybe residential conveyancing from my home office during school hours only.

I have City experience but last few years have been doing property at a large high street firm outside London. I'm not sure that I'm the right fit for LoD - it's been too long since I left the City. I can't see anything obvious online that might offer this kind of opportunity. Might anyone have heard of anything that might fit this bill? I would be so grateful!

I wondered if you mean self employed ( in which case you need to find your own clients) or .if you mean finding a firm who will employ ... Then I would think it's a matter of networking and contacting firms with a clear 'pitch' . I don't think either way is easy and will take time to make happen but until you try you won't know. There are two other options... Just enjoy being a mum fir a bit and then address return to work issues in due course. Or change career ( using existing skills and motivations ) to one with a work from home option. I wonder which of those appeals - if any?

There are - but for true work from home jobs my view is that you'd have to go to a specialist virtual firm where you need a following, if you google them (look in The Lawyer) there are usually "opportunities" set out where you work on a % of the fees you bill. But you have to generate your own work so if you do have a following, that might be the way to go.

Also, some PSL opportunities are more work-from-home. Is that something you would consider?
