Need a decision by tomorrow

Hello hope you're all ok. I need to make a decision by tomorrow re my job. I've got three options

1 stay in the role I'm in and look for other work- hate the job with a passion it's too hard for me.
2 resign- two month notice period
3 move to lower grade post but this will put me on temp contract until December only then I'm at risk.

I have an interview booked beginning September and have applied for other jobs but need to let work know tomorrow what do I do? X

Depends how much you rely on the money. I think it's always easier to find a job if you're in a job. I'd stay where you are and keep looking.

Can you afford to be unemployed?
Personally, I've done 1, and spent a lot of time job searching.
Most recently I've done 2. And am planning on being a SAHM for a few years.

Stay where you are and keep looking. You won't find a new job any quicker if you leave you're current one.

My thoughts were if I give my notice in and get a job then I have less notice to work if that makes sense ?! Lol I just want a job I can do and not stress over continuously!

If you can't afford to be unemployed, 2 is not an option - it'll massively increase stress if you haven't found anything a month into your notice period.

3 would be possible, if you can afford the paycut, but you still risk unemployment in December.

So 1 is probably your best option, because there is no risk of unemployment, and you're likely to find it easier to find a job when you're already employed.

Do you have any holiday days left? That would shorten your notice period. You could also call in sick once you've handed in you're notice (I wouldn't normally advocate faking sickness), or possibly even negotiate a shorter notice period they may want to get rid of you too

Don't leave a paying job if you have no other source of income. You won't be entitled to any benefits.

I have two weeks off beg October so that's something. Hopefully by then I'll have a new job and gave my notice in so that will shorten it further! I don't want to phone in sick during notice period as they have been good to be fair so don't want to take the mick!

Good for you. I wouldn't either, but people do.
