Marketing and Qualifications

Hi all,

Before having DC I worked in Marketing for private companies and charities. My last position was as a Fundraising Manager with a small team at a national charity.

I'm a keen copywriter and proofreader, although have no formal qualifications in this area.

I have a BA in English and some minor professional qualifications.

I'd like to return, in a junior position, to Marketing in four years' time. But, as I will have been out of the field for eleven years, I could do with studying in the meantime.

What qualification(s) would you recommend I start with? I work part-time as a tutor (not Marketing-related), so have some time to study for a correspondence course.

Thanks for your advice.

As I've mentioned in a previous response, use the essential requirements in the job ads you'd be interested in to guide you, i.e, if you haven't got it, get it. Good luck!

Not sure if you are still reading this op, but a CIM qualification would be great. As you already have a degree I think you could go straight to diploma level but I'm unsure whether your degree needs to be marketing related...
