I'm currently on maternity leave. Due back in the office on 01 Jan.
A new role is coming up in my department. It's a level above my current one and matches my skill set exactly. I'd like to apply, but do they have to consider my application if I'm not back till January? Are there any rules around this? It seems quite unfair if I miss out just because of timing, but I don't know if I can insist that they judge my application in the same way as other applicants'?
