Cancelling bonus on last day of the month

On 30th June we got told that the money set for the year, for bonuses, had run out. !! And a new bonus scheme was being introduced and they were going to back date it to the beginning of June. This means that I will get about £600 less than I thought

Can my employer do this.? They have the money but they want it as profit. It's a massive company. Than you. X

What do you have in writing?

My company did this last year just after Christmas. We were told we'd get maximum £400 each depending on hours worked/OT etc., but ended up with around £16 each because they apparently overspent over Christmas. We've stopped getting our hopes up each year
