accept promotion???

i have been offered a promotion at work which is great!! except that the hours are longer :-( its a job i want to take on but i hate the thought of working more and seeing my children less, my youngest being only 1, i currently do 18 hours over 3 days but would have to do 30 hours over 5 days and i am currently on the fence, would you accept it?

Is it a position that is likely to arise again anytime soon? I know in my office, opportunities are few and far between and I would be very tempted to take it but they are only young once.

Sadly a refusal of the promotion may mean you will never be asked again.
