Can you hand in your notice whilst on sick leave?????

im on sick leave, got another month off. can i hand in my months notice with a months sick leave cert, or must i go back?????

i'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I can't think of any reason why you can't give notice whilst on sick leave and I doubt that you will need to go back.

you can absolutely resign at any time - if you are not available to work your notice you will need a sick note to cover it as you have been doing. your employer can dismiss you while on sick leave.

My friend did.... was off about three months, handed her notice in whilst off... never came back.
