Flexible working request - When does the year start per request ?

My question is I know you are allowed one request a year but does the year start from when it went in, when it was agreed or when you start back to work ?

Think the rules are that you can't have made one in the previous 12 months - see DTI guidance

sorry, should have added that it looks like the answer to your question is the year runs from the date on which you made the application.
