Work have asked for a doctors report. What will this include?

A doctor can only report to work what you let them. You will be able to see and comment on any report. Absolute worst case (if you can't find any language you are happy with) will be that the doctor has to inform your work than you have not consented to a report. Depending on the issue this might leave work assuming the worst. Nothing to be scared of - doctors owe their duty of confidentiality to you

It should be treated confidentially by HR or occupational health whoever has requested it. It definitely should not be bandied about the work place!

I've had this happen several times and in my, limited, experience they give information about your condition(s) that effect you, especially those connected with your job, some times advising on things that could be done that might be of benefit to you in work (in my case I cannot climb stairs so needed a ground floor office).

Did you ask to see it first or for them to send a copy? I did this but some of it wasn't included as they were concerned about me reading it (it was to do with my mental health) the version sent to my employer didn't have anything missing.

Basically they asked for the report, it was sent and then I went for an appointment with HR or occupation health to discuss it and any impact on my work and, if I asked and the doctor felt it appropriate I had a copy sent to me. It shouldn't be made general knowledge. I had one employer where HR did that and they got into huge trouble.

I am a doctor, and if I do a sick note I will always put the most general of info, e.g "surgery" or "inpatient stay in hospital". That way it is clear that the patient was not fit for work but doesn't give too much away.

IMO, if I as a Dr have decided that person is unfit for work, the fine details are not relevant to the employer.
