HR advice please- interview records

Recently I received feedback from an internal interview and have some concerns. The records have since been requested from the hiring manager but this has not been forthcoming and the manager is apparently seeking guidance from HR about what can be released to me. Would I have to make a subject access request to get this rather than a formal request? Any experience or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

If they refuse to give it to you then yes make a subject access request. I imagine HR will tell the manager that you could do that and therefore he/she might as well release the notes to you.
