Torn between two jobs!

Hello hope you are all well. I'm torn between two jobs and really don't know what to do! I'm currently off sick with stress in my current job due to go back Tuesday, this was due to lack of support and my manager has now drafted in two new staff to help me. However I have been offered another job and really unsure of what to do!

My current job is closer, more money and I'm settled in the team but I feel overwhelmed by content of work! The new job is a longer commute but a lower grade ( I want a lower grade) and four days which I could weather. Only thing is it's every other weekend and bank hols. I'm due to get married in September and my husband to be works shifts so if we had kids I can imagine childcare being an issue, we are going to start trying straight away as my partner is eight years older than me and doesn't want to be an old dad! Also if I take new job and get pregnant straight away that doesn't look good and I won't be established in the team although I will get mat leave! Help?

Stay where you are. It may work out of two new members of staff have come to help.
Longer commute, less money and working so many weekends/bank hols is NOT good when h-2-b works shifts...I know as mine works shifts and we have horrendous troubles with childcare (no family help).

Life gets harder (especially with work) once children come along so be warned. You may find that the help provided may make things easier for you. Have you thought about childcare for when you do have a family?

Plus, of course, you will get a better maternity package (it's NHS??)

Hope all goes well on Tuesday x

Hello again. We have discussed me going back part time and my parents will probably do one day a week. I'm hoping I'll get nhs maternity but knowing the way it's going it will probably be privatised!
