Basically trained as a music teacher, had to quit due to ill health, but have recovered enough now to do a desk job. Have been working as a PA to Directors within the County council, but have seen 3 jobs for Assessor's, which would be a huge pay rise, but something I reckon I could do quite easily. What am I missing here? Obviously I'd need to read up on legislation, but I've been minuting meetings at County Hall, so have got a grip on the basic issues the county is currently facing. The Manager I spoke to for an informal chat encouraged me to go for it, but just thought anyone in the know could inform me a little better?
