Looking for a bit of advice. Went to a company 3-4 weeks work. After the 4 weeks the md created a new role for me and letter of employment said I had to give 4 weeks notice. After 5 months I was told the new role wasn't really working and the were extending probationary period for a further 3 months. This finishes on tues but got told frid contract was being terminated that day and I would be paid one weeks notice. I assumed my notice period would be same as I had to give them (1 month). If it doesn't state the notice they give you does it revert to statutory? Thanks for help

Strange that your contract didn't specify, but if it doesn't then statutory notice applies.
