To tell them there website is "bland"???

I think I may have put my foot in it! But it is bland and uninspiring- I could do so much with it.

Would you appreciate that type of comment and an interview? I did go on to expand my thoughts on how to improve it-eek!

P.S the job isn't directly related to their website but I would have some input in it

I think it depends.....

No harm in demonstrating that you have lots of good ideas to improve things.

To improve things, you don't always need to tell people they are not doing something well. They usually know when stuff isn't great. Someone somewhere will be responsible for that site as it is and will have worked hard to get it as it is. It would be good to get them on board with improvements rather than making too much of a song and dance about how carp it s now.

So i think it depends on the role they want you for, the culture you would be working in and how badly they know they need your skills. I hope it goes well for you.
