My DH needs a new job. He's being made redundant today. He's an experienced sports journalist, previously in television, currently working for an internet start-up (which has gone tits-up). Has had spells of self-employment before but for the security we'd really like him to have a new permanent job. Are there any specialist Headhunting Companies or Recruitment Consultancies out there for people like him? We live in London.

Not sure if they will be able to help but you could try Michael Page Recruitment or Hanover Fox, if they don't deal with his field they should be able to point him in the right direction as they are both big multi-national firms.

Try MediaPlayers in Covent Garden or get a copy of Broadcast and look in the back section.

FYI there are loads of sports jobs going in the Middle East at present. Al Jazeera Sports is a big big deal and they pay well. Living in the Gulf is really pretty great too (imo), be worth considering at least

Thanks for the tips. He's never really had to go out and find a job before so we're astonishingly ignorant about the whole process. Think we're going to have to wise-up pretty quickly.
