CV help - URGENT!

I haven't used my CV for about a decade, because I have been a SAHM for a few years and the job before that was an application form.

I wish to get my CV to someone ASAP in the light of a result on Thursday but am not quite sure of the best way to present it.

I would appreciate any hints and tips.

Talent Gateway offers a free CV critique: talentgateway.net/candidates/ I haven't used their service but I imagine from their perspective, it's a good thing for candidates to have a great CV.

I'd seen an interesting article on their blog about CV presentation: talentgateway.net/updates/blog/to-cv-or-not-to-cv/ (I'm guessing that's what your question is about)

From my experience Highlight your achievements and where possible quantify e.g. if you've managed a budget, state what size budget, if you managed a team, how many in the team, if you were responsible for meeting sales targets, state by how much you outperformed the target

Sorry for not being clear. Yes, I wanted to know which format to use (or, as importantly, what not to use).

I'm short, I have been home with the children for a few years.
Before that, the job I got was via an application form, not my CV, so, even though the information is correct, the format may well be dated.
I want to send my CV to some one ASAP.

Name
Address / contact info
Statement about yourself
Experience / previous jobs
Education

Two A4 pages max

Jobs ordered most recent to last

Spelling, grammar, formatting - check they are all spot on.
Then check again.
Then get someone else to check!
If you use bullet points on the first page, use the same bullet points on the second one - don't change to dashes.
I've just been through 40 CVs for professionals (all graduates with professional qualifications) and 75% of them had some issue with the above - we use a correctly spelt and laid out CV as the minimum standard .
So someone who couldn't spell "financial", or use whether/weather, or use there/their/they're correctly, didn't get called for interview
(yes the three examples above came out of my last batch!)
