Does anyone have any advice on phone interviews?

I have just found out I have one next week for a sales/marketing manager role. It's a slight career change but a challenge that sounds very appealing.

However I have never had a phone interview and no idea what to expect! I've done some googling but any advice would be appreciated

They will be looking to gauge your personality and your ability to speak to people. Elaborate on points no one word answers.

I've just had one today! Its not for a majorly big job but it was about 20mins they just told me about days/ hours/ pay and why I was interested in the job and a bit about the people who work there.

it was more of an informal chat I think you can tell a lot about a person by the way they speak on the phone.
