Hi there i need advice my mum has been a teacher for 30+ years at the same school and is on the highest pay a teacher can be and all of a sudden the headteacher who doesnt like has put her on a capability report and says she is not doing her job she has till july to improve in the headteachers eyes or she will be sacked. how can they do that and has anyone else been through this before please? From what i have read online it is quite common and its just to get rid of old staff and get young new cheaper teachers instead. Do i need to get a solicitor involved but how much will that cost. Any help would be much appreciated please!

It's highly unlikely that they want rid of her to replace her with a cheaper teacher. Yes seek legal advice.
