Childcare in Amersham

Hi, We've just put an offer in for a house in Amersham. The local council have sent me the info on nurseries for under 2's i.e. There aren't any, so I wondering if there were any Amersham mumsnetters who could give me an idea about the local childminder situation. Thanks.

I live in Chalfont St Peter not very far away from Amersham and know people in the locality. Social services will have alist of chilminders and the office is based in Amersham. There era lots around. Ther are day care nurseried in Chalfont St Peter i don't know about Amersham. Your health visitor at your new surgery will probably know as well re childminders or even sometimes possible nanny shares.

Thanks ND, I waited for ages for the council list of childminders and when it arrived it was for High Wycombe! Our house purchase has been greatly delayed so I'm not worrying too much at the moment.
