can anyone help please? Due to a neuro condition I've been off work since January. I thought I had 24 weeks full pay but just received notice that I get 20 weeks. I have the policy that notes that after 5 years it's 24 weeks full 20 weeks half (4th and 5th years being 20 of each). I started October 2009 so o make that I've done over 5 years. What do you think?

I'm not an expert. Was there a probationary period at the start? As in 6months probationary and then it starts? What has HR said?

Hope you're on the mend Thanks

Hi shakey no probationary period. I tried ringing today but HR is one person. And she wasn't in! I'm hoping to be back in the next 6 weeks as they've put me on new meds but this has thrown me!

Is it possible that it's a rolling 24 weeks and you had 4 weeks off in the few years before the major sick leave?

Lolimax · 08/05/2015 20:00

MsDeedles I think you're right. I've asked them to send me how they worked my sickness.

What MsDeedles said. It's always a rolling total, the clock doesn't reset when you go back to work.
Hope you're on the road to recovery soon Flowers
