Sick Pay- please help

is anyone able to help me. I was sick on a friday...having gone to work. And left early. I only returned to work the following Wednesday. According to the .gov site you should receive sick pay from the 4th day of being sick (this includes non working days. Am I wrong to think I should have received sick pay for Monday and Tuesday?

Does your company pay contractual sick pay? What you get will be specified in your contract.

If it's SSP, the four days are qualifying days, but SSP is not paid for the first three days of any illness (unless related to a previous illness).

You only get statutory sick pay after the first three complete qualifying days of absence. Qualifying days are usually your normal working days so, you were not entitled to any statutory sick pay.
