Any NHS recruiters that can help with a question?

I'm applying for an NHS job, and the job description is split into sections eg 'Responsibility for Analysis and Judgement', 'Financial and other resources' etc.
Should I answer the 'supporting information' section with the same headers? Not lising each bullet and answering it as a list, but showing them how I match each section. Can't think of how else to do it short of writing how perfect I am for the job and they should employ me on the spot Wink

This is becoming pretty common in job/person specifications. I think using the same headings is a great idea. At the very least it'll show you've read the spec! The job spec is their mark-scheme, so the easier you make it for them to see you meet the brief, the better. I think you're right not to match them point-for-point, but do try to roughly follow the order of points within each competency group.

On a similar note, if you can subtly reuse some of the vocabulary of the specification, it can help draw their eye to your selling points, and give the impression of a candidate who thinks the same way they do. Don't load it up with your own jargon, but feel free to recycle some of theirs.

I am a recruiter in the NHS and if you follow the suggested process, I agree it will give you significant advantage.

Trying to work out whether someone meets the criteria is really hard with someone who just writes a load of unstructured material is really hard and the easier you can make it the better.

It's in!
I had to cut my word count which I've never had to do for anything before!
