Prob loads of threads on this but...do you need a degree to train as a primary school teacher?

I think you need a degree. And a PGCE... well, you only need the PGCE if it's after you finish a degree.. my friend is doing a teaching degree, and another doing a history degree with a PGCE.

But maybe someone who really knows will be aboe to answer you

You need a degree. Either a BEd or a degree with a PGCE, although I taught in the private sector and did my degree (BA in education) part time whilst teaching. I had A levels and a Montessori dip when I started.
