4 years ago I went back to study for a PGCE in post compulsory education and training (teaching adults not secondary or primary school) the reason was so that I could continue to be qualified to train in IT.
Over the years before PGCE, I have also coached people into work (including very long term unemployed), out of work, to different line of work etc. and have an absolute passion for this type of work that I am happy to do it voluntarily.
Ironically, I can't seem to land these roles. One barrier that comes up time and time again is CIPD quals. I am good at what I do and the PGCE does actually cover elements but I don't think recruiters understand this.
I do I get paid to do a job I love?
