Help calculating accrued leave please?

I went on maternity leave August 2014. I had used all my annual leave prior.

My employer closes for 5 days at Christmas plus the 3 bank holidays. These are accrued for me to take upon my return.

In January I get part time 0.5 pro rata. I know what my pro rata annual leave holidays are.

Again employer closes for 5 days at Easter plus 2 bank holidays. Again, these are accrued for to take upon my return. But how do I work out how much leave I accrue, considering I am now part time? HR just keep saying I get the days but havnt / won't actually give me a figure. I'm guessing 3.5 days?

I know I get the equivalent of 4.5 days bank holidays each year.

If it helps I will be working the end if the working week. So if more than 4.5 bank holidays fall on my days off do I end up taking less standard annual leave entitlement to make up the short fall?

My head hurts trying to work it all out!

I'm going back in May and am trying to see how many weeks I can do a phased return whilst having 4/5 weeks off as we will be moving house & I'm allowed to carry at least 1 week into next year.

That's not a legal question, that's a question of how annual leave booking arrangements are organised at your work. I always advise clients to roll up holiday and bank holiday for part timers to give an overall figure, with any bank holidays falling on their normal days of work being deducted, giving a remaining total of "bookable" days left. But I can't say whether that's what they do at your work. Does your new contract/letter confirming the change to your contract/annual leave policy/staff handbook not say how holiday works for part timers?
