Beauty Advisor position. Risky?

Hi, newbie here, looking for some advice.

I have a job interview next week at a well known high street store for the position of Premium Skincare Advisor.

TBH, I do lack relevant experience and I do know that there was a high volume of applicants for this role so chances are I would be unlikely to get it.

However, on the off chance that I do get it, I just wondered how risky these kinds of jobs are?

It's a permanent, full-time position but obviously there will be sales targets and if these targets are not being met, can you just get fired? This position deals with expensive "luxury" brands, so not the kind of products you are out buying every day.

If I were to get this job I would have to leave my current job (which is very stable but which I'm unhappy in) but I really don't know whether it would be worth the risk.

I just want to go in with my eyes open. Does anyone have an advice or experience they could share? Has anyone ever worked in this kind of role before?

Thank you.
