NHS, private work and mat leave...

Hi,

I currently work 4 days for the NHS and one day and one evening private work.

Do I need to stop the private work when I go on maternity leave?

I was planning to stop for a few weeks but maybe retain a private morning but due to being on mat leave I don't know if I can actually do that or not?

Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

hi I've just came across your post. from what I gathered when I looked into this you could carry on a "2nd job" as long as you were doing that job in your qualifying ie 15th week. However I assume this is for your statutory pay not your occupational maternity day. This is likely at the discretion of your employer Hr were more than useless when I queried it with them. Not much help sorry.
