Declaring MH issue on job med questionnaire

Also posted in mental health.

I have postnatal anxiety after I faced a three month for my at the time newborn to be cleared from the query diagnosis of downs.

My maternity leave finished on 10th march but my current employers occ health deemed me still unfit to work so currently on day 11 of sick leave to be reviewed next month.

I'm not on any medication but having CBT/counselling.

In the meantime, I've been offered my dream job for September. My HV says I'm obvs ok if I can handle a lesson observation and two interviews.

But now I'm faced with the standard new employee's medical questionnaire. I'm petrified of them whipping the offer away from me for being honest in saying, yes, I've had anxiety/mental health issues.

Well done on your recovery Tea.

I'm interested in the answer to this too, and have been mulling the same very question over the last couple of days.

I have just accepted a new job, and I know these people use these questionnaires as I turned down the same job at a different branch a few years ago.

Are we to be honest? And why do they ask these questions?

... should have said, I've been on AD's for 10 plus years.

You have to be honest as if you don't declare and then have time off due to this they can fire you.

But if I've accepted the position both verbally and signing a contract ahead of the questionnaire, can they still stop you working?
