Does anyone work shifts?

I work shifts at a hospital and whilst I love it because I get at least one day off a week I do find it hard being away from DD (5mths) for so long. When I work 7-7 i barely see her which is tough, but she has a lovely nursery and my DH is great.

Just wondered if anyone was in the same situation. Most of my friends work 9-5 jobs or part time

Yes, I work 12hr shifts too with regular overruns sometimes of up to 2hrs. I found it so tough that I dropped my hours to two shifts a week and manage on less money inorder to feel happier and spend more time with the children. I'm off on nights again tonight after not enough sleep - even though my mum has had my son, 2.
I know how it feels!
