Hi, I don't know if anyone will be able to help with this one. I've been doing my current job since September 2010, initially as agency and then on a fixed term contract since October 2012. Due to NHS budget cuts, my contract is not being renewed at the end of March - am I entitled to any sort of redundancy payment?

Thanks for any input :)

Has your employer not given you information about this? Can you contact your HR department and check?

If you have continuous service of more than two years yes you should be entitled to statutory redundancy pay. As you've been employed by your employer directly since October 2012 that includes you. You will need to check policies/terms and conditions locally to see whether there is any enhanced redundancy pay and what the terms and conditions are for that.

Oh thanks for that :)
My manager told me several weeks ago that he was extending my contract til July, but then last week said he'd cocked up the budget so my self and another fixed termer have to go, plus 2 permanent staff are being redployed. I kind of assumed that he would have made me aware of what entitlements I have, but I'll contact HR next week.

Thanks again
