Pay rate for consultant in higher education

Not really an issue but I have been offered a consulting role for a university in the UK. I used to work for them in a managerial role. My new consulting role is helping them break into new markets overseas (I live overseas) so lots of research, marketing, meeting people, negotiating, supporting and advising students etc who will then head to the UK for study.

I have no idea about hourly rate however .... Can anyone advise?

No idea about HE but we pay c. £400 per day for similar in a primary. I would expect it to be about double what you'd get if you were on the books.
