Hi all, I'd love your input on something. I'm running some workshops for women who'd love to change their job or start their own business (to do something that's more fulfilling or fits in better with their children), but who don't know either what to do instead or how they could make it happen. If you can relate to that, what could you get from a workshop that would make it potentially life-changing? Thanks very much. Love Emma

Hi Emma, I am one of those women you are talking about, the issue I have is too many ideas, too many skills and a struggle to focus. What I think would help, is if you had a list of contacts in various fields, who were able to mentor an idea to it's full fruition. Also financial information would be a great help to people, for example what tax credits or such like you would be entitled to, to help start you off. Making life changing decisions is scary stuff, and even if there was a step by step guide on paper, to hold your hand throughout as a constant reference point, would be a help. Also how to deal with the stress and anxieties, how to keep going when things aren't progressing the way you would hope etc. I hope this is of some help.

I have been thinking about starting my own business. I know what I would like to do and have no clue, as yet, of the legalities of starting your own business. Presumably you have to register your business, sort out taxes, maybe get a license etc. I'd like a course that gave full details of what I needed to do to be legitimate.

Thank you both, this is a great help.

Simplybeingmamma, I can really relate to what you're saying about focus. There will be lots of coaches out there who will be able to help you achieve that, and help you get past the stress and anxieties associated with making life changing decisions. Most will take an hour or two to talk to you so you can both get some clarity on your situation and see whether they'd be a good fit.

Iwishicouldsing, it seems like you have the hardest question answered if you know what you want to do! I'm pretty sure the government can walk you through the legalities of registering your business and so on. Try www.nationalenterprisenetwork.org

Thanks again
