Advice please

I have recently started with commission based job into it recuirtments which is very tuff to be honest .i work nearly the whole day sometimes even at nights screening the cvs on job boards .it hasn't beena month but my childminder costs are way to high .altough I am on a good commission structure but it's all luck .i am in a mess what to do .can a freelancer that's what my job says decide its work hours .i am confused as to how to negotiate with my employer and just work sometimg like 3 to 4 days a week saving on my money to childminder .my resume is shit so this job is imp to me with regard to hunting after some months .please advice

Is it an hourly rate - how much are they paying you?

Surely it will say in your contract? Or just speak to them about it to find out.
I'm freelance, though not in recruitment, and I decide on my hours etc. I have regular shifts for a client and, if i wanted to switch days or whatever, I'd let them know. However, it probably would be a snag if I wanted to do, say, two days and they need three days. Then it would become a case of either doing what they need or losing the work altogether.
