I've just found out I've got an interview next week for a classroom assistant role, and I'm trying to decide what to wear. Should I go formal - suit, heels etc or more suited to playing/sitting on the floor with children, ie smart trousers, jacket. Have no suitable clothes at present, so would be buying for the interview itself. Any advise gratefully received.

I'd go for the smart trousers and jacket option - good luck with the interview

Yes, if it's a decent interview there'll be a practical aspect. So dress smart and professional, but also flexible enough to sit on the floor and interact with the students.
