I posted this in 30 days only then thought it would be better here.
I have two DC and returned to work full time in September. Its hard going to say the least and childcare fees are astronomical.
Ive been in my job for 7 years; I like it but do feel it would be good to change sometime soon.
I have an interview for a maternity cover position in the same institution but different department. The job is part-time and would be a promotion for me. (but no significant pay increase).
If i were to be successful I would have to make alternative childcare arrangements for DC to move them somewhere that could facilitate them part time. but i would love to be working only parttime and spend more time with them.
would it be worth the upheaval for only a maternity cover position. when the mat cover is over i would likely have to return to my full time position.
im kind of just thinking out loud so any feedback appreciated!
