Hiya everyone

Thank you if you've taken the time to read this I'm currently stuck in a rubbish situation and I could really do with some advice.

My son is now 2 years old and I returned to work in 2013 one thing that I need to add is I suffer with Emetophobia (the fear of vomit/ being sick) and its serious Ive had it since i was about 4 I'm now 24. People will be thinking 'yet you had a child' yes I did I thought i could over come it but it just gotten worse Im still employed however I'm not working as I find it to hard to go into work I've become a bit of a hermit crab but I am having therapy once a week.

The point of this is are there ways of working from home? I miss working and keeping my mind active but I have no idea how I could work from home. Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you everyone
Jess x

What do you do, and how is the Emetophobia preventing you from doing your job now?

Sorry to hear about your emetophobia. My daughter (only 10) has this. She struggled with going to school for a while. I guess it's the same with you and work, do you feel like either you, or anyone around might be sick?

Therapy, books, etc helped my daughter to some extent. But what helped most was her being extremely brave and forcing herself to face her fear every day and go to school. The temptation is to avoid being out of the house and around others, is this why you want to work at home? Are you sure it would be the right thing to do for your mental health?

Anyway, I do work from home (3 days/wk, in office for 2). I work for a very family friendly government organisation. The public sector are often open to flexible ways of working.
