Offering replacement more money

I had my annual review a few months ago, when I asked for a pay rise I got told that no one would get a pay rise this year as there was absolutely no room in the budget for it.

I handed my notice in a couple of weeks ago and the company is now advertising for a replacement. They're asking for a person with less qualifications than me but are offering more money than I'm on!

The company is offer a very rare product so whoever thy get they're going to have to spend a good few months training up.

I haven't really got a question. I'm just angry and want to vent. I find it so incredibly insulting that they refused me a pay rise but now have enough money to pay this new person more.

And I'm bloody good at what I do.

Yes, they do that and then offer less. It is to try and attract more people to apply.

I hope you're right, this has made me feel really crap about myself.
