STOP asking me every five mins if I've got enough to do and do I need more stuff to do? YES I do have plenty of work thank you ( you should know what I have to do as YOU are the supervisor FFS). You know full well that we cannot effectively multi-task owing to the nature of the work we do therefore I have to FINISH one task before starting another. I presume you would like me to do the work correctly rather than rush the job and make loads of mistakes, or have I got that wrong? 
I will tell/ask you if I need something else to do, tempting though it is to sit and read the paper or put my feet up (sarcasm alarm) as I am actually not stupid, it might surprise you to know I even have a degree. I am also quite capable of using something called INITIATIVE*, you might need to look up the meaning if you're not sure what it is.
Initiative ..def= the ability to use your judgment to make decisions and do things without needing to be told what to do ...all the bleedin' time
