returning to work worried my boss is going to make me work part time

I was in work today speaking to my manager about returning to work. I'm going back after having my second child i have 2 under 2 and was only working 6 months between each maternity leave. I've been worth the company 7 years most of that time working part time except for the 6 months I returned after having ds.

During that time I got a promotion because my boss got a promotion so effectively I got her job. Now when I went in today my manager told me she didn't know how many hours I would have because my boss has decided she wants her old job back.
This is really stressing me out I don't know what to do.
Is there any company I could speak to about this?
I'm really lost right now sorry it's so long

Hi, Do you have a contract? If the contract says you have a permenant full time job they can't do that. I am not sure they can anyway but you are definitely safe if you have a contract. Good luck

I don't have a full time contract ,she told me in the new financial year she'd be able to get me one but when I asked her about it said she couldn't that head office wouldn't allow changes because I was going off on maternity leave

I'm quite scared to rock the boat if this manager was to take a disliking to you you could very sneakly lose your job for completely different reasons of course

Don't suppose you have it in writing that changes couldn't be made because of mat leave? If so, then that's a rock solid case of discrimination.

Do you have written confirmation of the promotion? Are you clear this is was intended as a permanent change of job rather than an "informal" arrangement?

You have the right to return to the same job, on the same terms and conditions. Now, that doesn't mean that the company can't restructure at some point but they can't "assume" they can just change your job. If they are to restructure they have to do it with the proper processes and consultations. Your Mat Leave and parental status can't be taken into account as part of that process.

I don't have written evidence and im really gutted that I don't.

My boss will say that it was informal if I were to question it or take it higher. But I was told this was to permanent.
She's very good at only making evidence of things that are to her benefit.
