If you're a copywriter, where do you advertise for new clients?

Just that really.

Unfortunately one of my clients dropped me last year, due to their lack of budget rather than my work, and it's left me financially up a creek without a paddle.

I usually get work through word of mouth but this is taking longer than I need it to, so it's time to drum up some business.

Any tips on where to advertise or how to get some more work?

TIA

if you just need something to tide you over - sign up to People per Hour or another freelancing site. the other option is to approach agencies and sign up with them.

Also delve into your email list and send out a message to everyone you have ever worked with, asking if they need any New years help.

You are a copywriter, so devising a smartly worded email should be a snip!

Thanks. I was trying to avoid PPH etc. As last time I was on it I spent more time bidding than doing any paid work but needs must I suppose!
