But found out exactly what one of my Colleagues thinks about me!

I was at somebody else's pc at work and her outlook was open in front of me and curiosity got the better of me

I found an email forwarded by a colleague (I am having problems with) that she had sent to our boss saying how I was not a team player (coming from the person that won't come on a staff night out) & that she couldn't work with someone that was aggressive, bossy & arguementative.

I was offered a job yesterday but after a chat with the directors they offered to move her but this email also has a request from her to move upstairs.

I had a call from the agency that I went through & the company are keen to match any salary that the old may have offered to keep me (this wasn't discussed in the meeting with directors) So I today put in a cheeky request for an hourly rate that would give me a take home of the same but with less hours!

After the email I am now tempted to accept the offer even without a higher salary!

oh that's bad

southeastastralplain · 13/10/2006 19:43

i mean bad for you that you saw the email!

bubbles4 · 13/10/2006 19:44

is there a chance she might have wanted you to find it? did she know about the other job offer and is trying to play the situation to her advantage

I'm not sure if she would know if would have seen the email or not.

She knew I had an interview but I hadn't told her I had been offered it. When I told her about it I had said that I probably wouldn't accept it and that I doubted that i would be offered it anyway. She also felt the need to tell our employer that I was looking elsewhere.

The other thing is that our jobs are totally different I couldn't do hers and she couldn't do mine!

If I were typing that I would definitely have exited etc. I agree with bubbles. Are you argumentative etc? Are you bothered?

whooOOOoooOOOpsfallenoveragain · 13/10/2006 20:02

I don't feel I'm arguementative or bossy I would just be doing my job & they didn't like being told they had done something wrong coming from me (I am the newest member of staff)
They are also think as thieves and it made me laugh that the girl it had been sent it had replied cool! but it would mean she would be left downstairs with me on her own!!!
I am going to go and am looking forward to my last day already

she sounds a bit vindictive to me,is she looking for brownie points from boss?she might not be able to do your job but if she doesnt like you she might just want you out.do whats best for you.

It sounds like you are well shot of that place. I moved jobs recently. I knew I was unhappy at the old place but can't believe how much it was affecting me and I didn't realise. I am sooo much happier now and people are commenting.

PS 'tis me Surfermum.
