Just wondering if anyone knows of any good sources of info. about retraining after a career break, as I'm thinking of going back to work but would like to have a complete change of career and do something a bit more stimulating!

Hi - what sort of thing would you like to retrain in? I am doing an Open University course which I love. Have you any local colleges that you might be able to go to? My local college offers all sorts, and some courses are even free.

Also it might depend on what sort of thing you are interested in as to what training you need.

The problem is I haven't really got a clue what I want to do and I maybe need someone to do one of those profiling tests where you tell them your interests and they identify areas you might be able to train in!

carlyb - forgot to ask, what sort of OU course are you doing?

i recently went to see a careers advisor at the local adult guidance service. she was very helpful, had lots of resources to look at and different profiling tests, and free! would really recommend it!
