Any portrait artists out there?

Hi all. For a few years now I have been taking commissions for people/pet portraits and drawings of buildings. I've got as far as creating a website and business cards - but it has always been a side line to my main job. Just wondered if anyone out there has managed to turn this sort of thing into a business?

I saw someone at a wedding fair recently who did portraits of the couple for their stationary, or paintings of the church / venue where they were getting married. I think they also sold coasters with paintings of the church / venue for wedding favours.

My aunt used to make 'family trees' for new babies with tiny portraits of the baby, siblings, parents and grandparents.
