Social media managers / consultants - how do you charge?

I have been offered an opportunity to manage social media for a small business.

I see it as producing a strategy initially, then just running it thereafter.

However, I'm new to the UK market when it comes to charging for this so just wanted to get an idea of how much other people doing something similar were charging.

Thanks

I assume you have sorted out all of your HMRC registrations

best is to go with day rate for work completed

Yes, have set up business and registrations.

I'm really trying to get an idea of hourly or day rates.

I am used to charging for PR / communications work but again, my rates are based on when I used to live abroad.

I sometimes work with a Freelance Marketing consultant and she charges around £250 per day in The North if that helps.

Thank-you - that's really useful :)
