Nanny agencies - Twickenham

My son is starting school in September, and I am having to change my childcare arrangements. I also have a 16 month old daughter. I need childcare for 2 days a week and I am thinking that a nanny is probably easiest to avoid an array of different pick up and drop offs. Does anyone have any advice on nanny agencies - there seem to be hundreds covering the area, and are all very expensive too! Or is there some other childcare arrangement that I haven't thought of?

Hi there,

try simply childcare . It's a London listings magazine for people looking for and offering childcare. It's a lot lot cheaper than going through an agency and you might find something a bit more tailored to your needs like a nanny-share. I've used it twice and have interviewed several suitable nannies each time. The people in the office are also really helpful and will help you draft your advert if you want to put one in. Obviously the main difference between this and an agency is that it becomes your responsibility to check out references - but I'd rather do this myself anyway.
