Work for free or do volunteer work to keep up skills?

Hi,

Would you work for free just to keep up your skills? Just wondering if anyone has done this? What was your experience like?

It's hard juggling family life, so is it really a good option?

It's an excellent idea, what field are you in?

I did it for a bit once my kids were bck at school. No child care costs so no loss to me and made me feel really confident.

Don't go into it with an 'I'm working for free mindset' but that you're doing an internship/ getting free training.
But it does depend what you want to do!

That's a good way to look at it....It's not about the money, but the personal achievement and confidence building!
