Another holiday entitlement / maternity leave question

I'm back at work 4d per week and think my employers have miscalculated my AL entitlement.

Paperwork says I'm entitled to 33p/a including BH.

Am I right in thinking I should receive 33d worth of holidays for the period where I was on ML, and 4/5 of 33d for the rest of the year? Then I must deduct any BH from my entitlement for Christmas?

Hi Jenny

When does your holiday leave run from? Did your maternity leave go over two holiday year periods?
You accrue your holiday entitlement during maternity leave as you would have, had you been at work.

Thanks for the reply Claire. I started ML in January but our leave runs April-March.

Thanks for clarifying, Jenny.

You should have your outstanding holiday from the last holiday year which covers January to March (unless you had used it all before you went on Maternity leave).

From April your holiday entitlement should have been based on your old hours until you returned to work. The remainder of the holiday year will be based on your 4 day week.

If you came back to work in October, the October to March entitlement will be 1/2 of 33 (16.5 days). April to September will be half of your old entitlement.
